Taking photos of newborns in my studio is absolutely my favourite part of my job. I could photograph a new baby everyday and never get tired of it. It was such a joy to meet 15 day old Prisha and her family! Prisha was just a tiny, little doll at her session, both asleep and awake and loved by her family. Big sister was just smitten with her and held her so well – I think she’s been practicing at home! I know Prisha is such a welcome addition to their family.

Prisha’s family chose beautiful purples and pinks for their main colours but also wanted to incorporate a bit of darker Fall colours so it was fun to come up with sets that reflected those choices. Prisha’s Mom aslo brought in her Sari and I lovingly placed that upon Prisha’s head. I know that is one of their favourite portraits.

Prisha's Mom and Dad selected some beautiful portraits from our time together. Each client receives a password protected and private proofing gallery within 72 hours of their session with all of the best photos from our time together. Together they can take their time going through their gallery, in the comfort of their own home to choose which ones they love the best and can't live without! They then let me know their choices and we begin the editing process. We edit out blemishes, scratches, jaundice, etc and perfect the image to reflect our style of photography. We stay as true to the natural colour of each client as possible as we want our portraits to reflect who each client (both baby and family) is so they can feel proud to hang their finished portraits on their walls.

I just love the photos my clients chose. I know they will show off their favourites in their home in a big way and little Prisha and big sister will love seeing how little they both were. What an incredible keepsake of an incredible time in their lives!

I just love this black and white portrait of Mom and Dad looking down at their beautiful daughter. It was such a beautiful moment captured.

We’re so lucky when we get a wide awake portrait of a newborn in the studio as they are often sleeping. I loved that Prisha looked right at me with this sweet expression.
